Six losses on spin for Pinchbeck United after crushing Melton defeat

Pinchbeck United’s poor run of results continued on Tuesday night as they were thrashed 5-1 by lower-graded Melton Town in the KitmanUK KO Cup.

The Knights fielded a much-changed side that included debuts for Steve Puckering, Ashley Miles, Scott Lowman, Andrew Bullivant and Luke Blondel – with the latter getting their consolation goal.

But goals from Zak Munton (5 & 71), Nathan Benjamin (43), Nathan Arnold (75) and Tom Harris (84) fired Uhlsport UCL Division One outfit Melton to a comfortable victory at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

It’s now six defeats on the spin for Ian Dunn’s Pinchbeck, who sit in 19th place in the UCL Premier Division and they are without a game this weekend.

Knights: Woolley, Ross, Puckering, Miles, Worthington, Parsons, Lowman (K Wilson 80), Burton, Bullivant (Bates 65), Kacirek (Gaukroger 68), Blondel. Not used: Nuttell, Shores.
