Singer back with the Zebra herd

A singer will return to his former band for the first time in 28 years as part of a special performance.

Spalding band Zebra are playing The Tulip Queen, on Goodison Road, for the first time on Friday, April 17.

And they’ve invited former singer Sandy Melrose to make a guest appearance.

The band’s Mark Le Sage (pictured left with Sandy) said: “Some of you will remember Sandy from his days as a teacher at both Spalding and Boston Grammar school.

“It’ll be great to have Sandy singing Wishing Well with us, one of the bands classic tunes that we are always asked for.

“Sandy hasn’t sung with the band since he left 28 years ago but we’ve always remained good friends.

“We’ve been rehearsing like crazy for our debut show at The Tulip Queen.”

The band will start at 8.30pm.
