Siemienczuk is spot-on for Pinchbeck United as they secure first league point

Pinchbeck United 1
Peterborough Northern Star 1

Tom Siemienczuk’s late penalty earned Pinchbeck United their first point of the new Uhlsport UCL Premier Division season last Wednesday night.

The frontman, who is a new signing for the Knights, scored from the spot five minutes from time at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field to peg back rivals Peterborough Northern Star in an entertaining 1-1 draw.

Zac Balde had earlier fired Star into a 14th-minute lead when he angled a drive pas Ben Martin in the home goals.

But, with youngster Finlay Armond prominent in midifield, Pinchbeck refused to roll over and slip to a third league loss of the campaign.

Joe Burgess forced Martin into a stellar save 20 minutes from time as the away side looked to clinch the points, but the Knights were soon level when Siemienczuk scored from the spot after Armond was fouled.

Kyeron Daws then missed a huge chance to fire the hosts ahead, before Star hit the woodwork in added time following a scramble.

Pinchbeck also had a new face in the dugout, with ex-Bourne Town assistant Tom Crozier put in temporary charge.

Pinchbeck: Martin, Worthington, Mason, Auld, Kacirek, Jeche, Armond, Neves (Z Dunn); Daws, Krashiqi (Burrell); Siemienczuk. Not used: Abayomi, Ramsden, Sebtane.
