A late Justin Dowling strike sentenced Holbeach United to a shock 2-1 defeat at ChromaSport UCL Premier Division strugglers Wellingborough Town on Tuesday night.
The Tigers fell behind early on against a Wellingborough side that started the night in the bottom two when Deven Ellwood notched (10), but soon equalised though Jake Clitheroe (30) at The Dog and Duck.
That’s how it stayed all the way up until the final minute, when Dowling (86) pounced to deal Holbeach’s title hopes a real hammer blow.
