The 2018 Spalding Beer and Music Festival has raised more than £20,000 – and wants to share that among local youth organisations.
In a statement online, Spalding Beer and Music Festival organiser Sam Nundy said: “After finalising this year’s accounts we are delighted to announce that this year’s festival raised just over £20,000.”
“Thank you to everyone who sponsored, donated, volunteered and of course attended the event, without you this simply wouldn’t have been possible.”
Now the money has been totalled, the organisers are ready to distribute it among worthy causes in South Holland.
Sam said: “We now want to get this money in to the local community so if you are a local youth organisation that would like to apply for funding please email [email protected]
“To ensure your application can be considered, it is important to include as much detail as possible about the application, as well as a contact name and number.”
The initial round of funding will run until Friday, July 20.
Organisers said that there will however be further funds released throughout the year so applications put in after July 20 will still be considered at a later date.
Organised by Spalding Round Table, The Spalding Beer and Music Festival took place in May and attracted more than 4,000 visitors this year.
Festival chairman Sam Nundy said it was the best festival yet.
“We get better each year and this year was great. The weather helped too.”
Planning for the 2019 event has already got underway.
