Serving up a boost for project

Two district councillors have donated to a group providing meals for those that need them most.

St John’s ward representatives Manzur Hasan and James Le Sage were happy to hand over £1,450 which was donated from their ward funds to Hub in Hub out, of St Thomas Road, Spalding.
The volunteers offer a meal to those in need every Sunday between midday and 2pm.
Coun Hasan said: “As a representative of the community I believe in the power of collective action and the positive change it can bring.
“Hub in Hub out do a vital job and I am honoured to have helped in some way along with the other councillors that donated from ward funds’.
Coun Le Sage added: “There is great work being done in the St John’s ward to help those in need.
“The volunteers do an amazing job and I have been only too happy to help out as best I can.
“I would like to thank all the other councillors who contributed from their ward budgets.
“Coun Hasan and myself hope to help out other organisations in the ward who supply the same selfless help to those in need.”
