Services Club B get upper hand in race

In the battle for the runners-up spot in Division A of the Hereward Sports Pinchbeck & District Summer League, Services Club B and Consti Club C went head-to-head.
The Services side came out on top, winning 18-9. With every game being closely contested it came down to better finishing on the night. Steve Rawding hit a 180 in his 2-1 win against Paul Faulkner and Tony Clark had a 102 checkout, although going down 2-1 to Josh Faulkner.
Clark and pairs partner Dave Norbury had a 16-dart leg in their 2-1 win and Ben Chester had a 16-dart leg in his 3-0 singles win against Harry Faulkner.
Scott Lawrence hit a 180 in a 17-dart leg for Consti Club B in their 15-12 win against Lincoln Arms D. A 14-dart leg for Dan Gent and Si Barnett was the highlight for the Lincoln side in their 2-1 pairs win but neither could carry that form into the singles, losing to Connor Hughes and Carl Pogson respectively.
Bottom side Lincoln Arms C pulled off the shock of the night, winning their first game of the season 15-12 against Pinchbeck FC, thanks to a 3-0 last game win for Tony Brown against Andy Mason.
In Division B, bottom side Drayman’s Arms A surprised the form book with a 16-11 home victory against Kirton Leisure. A 3-0 last game win for Michael Harrison against Alex Bemrose secured the points.
Second-placed Royal Mail Cart slipped up at home with a 14-13 loss to Consti Club D. Nick Collins took the last game 3-0 for the Consti against Dalton Sharman to inflict just their second defeat of the season. Leon Carter hit a 180 for the Mail Cart.
Services Club A scraped a 14-13 win against Green Dragon C. Dean Murray hit an 18-dart leg for the Services.
Green Dragon Z had a good 20-7 win at Consti Club A. Dean Peacock, with a 15-dart leg, and Callum Day, with a 17-dart leg, were the stand-out players for Dragon.
