School spreads happiness

A school has helped spread a little happiness by delivering bouquets of flowers.

The Lidl Neighbourly Team donated six pallets of flowers to Spalding Parish C of E Day School.

They were delivered by local man Dave Leworthy and his son, just in time for all of the Year Six pupils to take a bucket of flowers home for Mother’s Day.

The staff then delivered flowers to doorsteps at Lime Court, Stonegate and surrounding areas.

They brightened up the day for residents at Southfield House, neighbourhoods they live in, local churches, people who they know cannot get out and their own families.

A school spokesman said: “We were very grateful to be able to spread a little happiness at a time when everything is so uncertain.”
