Saturday football: Spalding United grab elusive victory, rain washes out fixtures again

Spalding United ended their lengthy winless streak with a 2-1 success at Newcastle Town on Saturday, while the games involving Holbeach United, Pinchbeck United and Moulton Harrox were all rained off.

Second-half goals from skipper Lewis Brownhill and striker Jamie Jackson (pen) earned the Tulips all three points and keeps them ninth in BetVictor NPL South East Division.
