Saturday football: Six of the best for Tigers, but Tulips and Pinchbeck are well beaten

Holbeach United were the big South Holland winners on Saturday as they smashed six goals, but both Spalding United and Pinchbeck United were soundly beaten.

It was a day to remember for Holbeach In the Uhlsport UCL Premier Division, as they battered old foes Cogenhoe United 6-0 in a one-sided Carter’s Park affair.

Josh Ford helped himself to a hat-trick in the romp, while Jonny Lockie (2) and Liam Adams completed the scoring for Danny Hussey’s side.

In the same division, leaders Shepshed Dynamo made it nine wins from as many games by beating a game Pinchbeck United 3-0 at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

Meanwhile, Spalding United were handed a 6-1 defeat by lowly Glossop North End in the BetVictor NPL South East Division.

Sub Nathan Rudman got the Tulips’ consolation late on.
