Saturday football: Pinchbeck United win to go a year unbeaten in UCL, Jack’s treble inspires big Holbeach victory

Pinchbeck United won 1-0 at Northampton ON Chenecks on Saturday to make it a year unbeaten in the Future Lions UCL, while Jack Smith notched another hat-trick as Holbeach United thrashed Leicester Nirvana 4-1 at Carter’s Park.

A Lee Beeson strike was all the Knights needed to get the job done at Old Northamptonians Sports Ground, as they kept their hold on second place in the UCL Premier Division.

It’s now 35 UCL games unbeaten for Ian Dunn’s side, a run that spans across two divisions.

One place behind them in the table are Holbeach, who continued their fine form with a fantastic Carter’s Park success.

Smith’s second hat-trick in as many weekends was the highlight, while Josh Ford also got in on the act to send Seb Hayes’ side to a season-high third in the table.

In the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division, Moulton Harrox are seven points clear at the top after beating hosts Leverington Sports 5-2.

Harrox are also unbeaten as they reach the 11-game mark.

Elsewhere, Long Sutton Athletic beat ICA Sports 1-0, while Tydd triumphed 4-0 at Polonia.

Holbeach Reserves were held 0-0 at Peterborough Sports Development, while Sutton Bridge United went down 2-1 at Stamford Lions.
