Saturday football: Holbeach smash six to get first league victory, Kacirek nets point for Pinchbeck, Harrox win

Holbeach United romped to a 6-0 win over GNG Oadby Town on Saturday, while Pinchbeck United picked up a 1-1 draw at Lutterworth Town in Tom Crozier’s first game as boss.

Starting with the Tigers, goals from Josh Ford (2), Jonny Lockie, Will Barnes, Spencer Tinkler and Jon Fairweather gave them a first Uhlsport UCL Premier Division win of the season.

Ricky Drury was also forced to save a first-half penalty at Carter’s Park, while Barnes was sent off 15 minutes from time for a professional foul.

The victory is Phil Barnes’ first in the league as manager and moves them up to 12th in the early standings.

Pinchbeck, meanwhile, fought back from conceding an early goal at Lutterworth to claim their second point of the season.

Pat Kacirek’s strike in the 73rd minute grabbed them a decent draw at a notoriously tough venue as the Knights moved up to 16th place.

Elsewhere, two Shane Clarke goals gave Spalding United a 2-0 win over Carlton Town and sent them top of the Pitching In NPL South East Division table. A full report from that game is here.

In the ChromaSport PDFL, Moulton Harrox made it two wins from as many games with a battling 3-2 success at Cardea.

Crowland Town got back to winning ways by seeing off Stamford Lions 3-1, while Holbeach Reserves drew 1-1 at Ketton.

There was a 2-1 home defeat for Long Sutton Athletic, though, as they were beaten by Peterborough North End Sports.
