Santa hopes for sleigh ride

Spalding Lions are hoping their friend Santa will be able to visit South Holland – while keeping to all the pandemic rules.

Every year members of the organisation accompany Santa on his visit to the area while raising money for their charity.

Despite coronavirus there are plans for this year from December 6.
Quadring, Cowbit, Donington, Gosberton, Surfleet, Pinchbeck, Weston, Moulton, West Pinchbeck and Morrisons are all on the list so far.

But this year the sleigh can’t stop for Santa to chat or hand-out sweets and his helpers are asking residents to keep to the advice.

Instead, everyone is asked to go to their front doors to wave and say hello while socially distancing. Santa’s helpers won’t be knocking on doors for donations, but they can still be made on the night. There will be updates nearer the time.
