Sam completes month of running

An 18-year-old footballer was given an explosive finish to his month of charity runs.

Sam Bayly, of Spalding, ran 5K every day in February raising £1,209 for The Alzheimer’s Society. He did so to thank his great nan Maxine Andrews who suffers with the condition.

On the completion of his final run, his family turned up to let off streamers.

Sam, who is set to take up a football scholarship in America in July, said he was “delighted” with the amount of money he raised after initially hoping to raise £250.

“My whole family are so proud,” he said.
