A South Lincolnshire medical centre has found to be in breach of safety regulations.
The Gosberton Medical Centre is working with the NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) following a visit by the Care Quality Commission earlier this month.
The assessment took place between October 28 and November 6, and led to a warning notice being issued.
The ICB, which oversees healthcare in county says Gosberton has been found in breach of Regulation 12 (1) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 – which says: “Care and treatment must be provided in a safe way for service users.”
An ICB spokesman said: “We acknowledge the publication of the latest CQC report for Gosberton Medical Practice and we are working directly with the practice to support them with the development of a robust action plan to meet the required improvements.”
However no further details of the assessment or how safety regulations had been breached were available at the time of going to press as the CQC has not published the report.
The centre has four GPs, three of whom are partners, along with practice nurses, healthcare assistants and paramedics.
There is also a pharmacy team alongside an administration and reception team working at the centre.
The previous inspection was in 2016 when the centre was awarded ‘good’ across the board in all areas of safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and leadership.
A review in July 2023 found no evidence ‘that we need to reassess the rating at this stage.”
At the time of the review, Dr Lucy Rushworth was the registered manager. She is listed on the centre website as partner, along with Dr Mo Morsy and Dr Ammar Kavati. Dr Osamudiamen Oshodin is also listed as a salaried GP at the centre.
The website also states that there are approximately 8,000 patients on its list.
