Royal Mail Cart deliver last-four slot

The first round of the Ward Trophy for Division B teams took centre stage at the Hereward Sports Pinchbeck & District Summer Darts League.

Royal Mail Cart made it through to the semi-finals with a 5-4 win against Kirton Leisure. Leon Carter hit a 180 in his 2-1 singles win over Mark Sellars.
Green Dragon Z also went through with a 7-2 victory over Consti Club A but Dragon C will not be joining them after a 7-2 defeat to Drayman’s Arms B.
Taking the final spot in the last four were Services Club A, thanks to a 5-2 away win at Consti Club D.
In Division A, the performance of the week came from Consti Club C, annihilating Consti Club B 23-4. The only winner for the B side was Stu Ewins, who beat Harry Faulkner 2-1, with Faulkner hitting a 180. The highlight was Josh Faulkner in his singles game, hitting a 180 in a 16-dart leg helping him beat Carl Pogson 3-0. Chris Hollands for the B team hit a 180 but that didn’t stop him losing 3-0 to Ted Howling.
There were good darts thrown at the Green Dragon with their A team beating Pinchbeck FC 15-12. Scott Williams hit three 180s with two 18s and a 17-dart leg, plus a 105 checkout. He also had a 18-dart leg in his pairs game with Joe Porter. Porter hit a 180 in his singles game but lost 3-0 to Andy Mason. Tom Overton had a 132 finish (bull, bull, D16) in his pairs game with Sean Trafford. Jason Waltham for the Football Club hit a 180 in his 2-1 singles win against Darren Morris.
An improved performance by Lincoln Arms C was not quite enough to get them their first win of the season, losing 15-12 to Consti Club Z. Callum Ward got a 17-dart leg for Consti.
