‘Royal’ family join parade

Moulton will be hosting ‘royalty’ on Sunday when the village holds its Tulip Parade for the first time since 2019.

The youngsters picked to be the royal family in 2019 will finally have their chance to take part in the event.

The Queen is Abbie-May Wilson-White, the Princesses are twins Keisha and Jenna Campbell and the Prince is Jack Bell.

They were chosen for their roles before the pandemic struck and there hasn’t been a parade for them to take part in since until this year.

The village will be packed with events on Sunday afternoon with entertainment from Holbeach Town Band, Spalding Folk Group, Bourne Borderers and RetrospeKt.

Children from the village primary school will also be taking part and the parade starts at 3pm.
Pavanotti will also be singing to entertain visitors.

The village is also holding a scarecrow competition is also being held over the weekend and all entries need to be in the Church grounds by Friday (29).

Judging will take place on Sunday.

“The event is self-funding and we have been running it for some years. We were hit by the pandemic but we are back this year,” said tulip parade committee member Karen Hemmant.
