Rotary Club’s appeal for South Holland

Residents and businesses are being asked to collect barcodes from packets of Yorkshire tea and teabags to help Rotary Club of South Holland provide vital mobility equipment to disabled children and adults around the world.

Rotary International in Britain and Ireland (RIBI), in conjunction with Yorkshire Tea, is helping the Wheelchair Foundation UK in its aim to provide a wheelchair to every child, teen or adult who needs one, but cannot afford one. Since October 2003, Rotary Clubs throughout Great Britain and Ireland have sponsored thousands of wheelchairs in more than 20 countries around the world, as well as participating directly in their delivery.
The bar code from a box of 80 Yorkshire Tea teabags is worth 10p, with the largest catering bag of 1,200 teabags being worth £1.50.
Each donation of £75 enables a wheelchair to be delivered to a person in need.

Barcodes should be sent to South Holland Rotary Club Barcode Appeal, c/o Rotarian Jon Martin, 22 Miles Bank, Spalding, PE11 3EZ or hand them in at The Woodlands Hotel, 80 Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, PE11 1QF.
