Record run for the Knights in FA Vase draw

Sherwood Colliery 3 Pinchbeck Utd 4

Club history has been made as Pinchbeck United continued a record-breaking run in the FA Vase.
The Knights took Saturday’s match with Sherwood Colliery to a 4-3 victory and secured a place in the second round of the top competition.
Turning round a two goal deficit in the first half, they led 3-2 at the break through an Andre Williams double either side of an Elliot Foster strike.
The second half saw the Knights and Sherwood all square before regaining the lead through Avelino Viera and holding-off a late surge to claim the win.
The team has already seen off local rivals Holbeach Utd and Deeping Rangers in the competition so far and the draw has been made for the next round.
It will be a home match against Dunkirk FC on Saturday, November 12 at 3pm.
They currently sit in fifth place of Division One of the Uhlsport United Counties League, just ahead of Newark Town and with two games in hand.
The Knights were also set to take to the Sir Halley Stewart on Wednesday evening with a match against Skegness Town kicking off at 7.45pm.
Pinchbeck are offering free entry to children under the age of 16 who are going to the match with a paying adult – at £6 entry.
Knights supporter Megan, pictured above, has created a special poster to help publicise the midweek match.
