People all over South Holland got into the Children in Need spirit last week – raising hundreds of pounds for Pudsey.

Staff and children at Spalding’s Little Treasures Nursery thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as their favourite superheroes to raise cash for the charity.

The children also had their faces painted with Pudsey bears and eye patches.

Manager Rebecca Genever said: “I would like to say thank you to all those who made such as effort on the day and helped support the worthy charity.”

Staff at Spalding’s Hills Department Store wore fancy dress or onesies for the day and organised fundraising activities including a raffle, tombola and Pudsey cake sale encouraging customers to join in the fun.

Children at Pinchbeck East Primary School took part in a fake moustache day where all the staff and children had to wear false facial hair.

To raise money for the cause, children (and parents!) were asked to donate silver coins.
