A public meeting is to be held in town on plans to turn Spalding’s Post 16 Centre into an academy for youngsters who may have been excluded from other schools or have problems.
Springwell Alternative Academy’s proposal to convert the Matmore Gate building has met some opposition with a petition having been launched opposing the move.
The meeting will run from 6pm to 7pm on Thursday, December 7, at Spalding High School on Stonegate.
Adam McDermott of Springwell said the meeting was “to give those in the locality a further opportunity to find out more information and to raise any questions.”
The public consultation on the proposals is due to conclude on Friday, December 15.
