Thirty-nine new homes are on the cards at Moulton if planners give the go ahead.
Holbeach firm Ashley King Developments has submitted plans for the houses, which will be a mix of first-time buyer and family homes, to South Holland District Council’s planning department.
The proposal is to provide a private and affordable residential scheme comprising of 39 one, two, three and four bedroom homes, together with associated parking, private and communal amenity space.
The houses will be built on a 1.92-hectare greenfield site off Westmoreland Road, which is currently used as an agricultural field and laid to crop.
The site is accessed from Broad Lane, one of the main routes into Moulton village centre and also has pedestrian access from Westmoreland Road to the eastern boundary.
The site is situated within suitable walking and cycling distance to a number of facilities and is served by good frequency and easily accessible bus services that connect the site well to the surrounding area.
Ashley King, of Ashley King Developments, said: “The proposed development is a combination of site constraints, planning officer comments, feedback from the general public and experienced knowledge from local development professionals.
“It addresses housing need and the difficulties facing first time buyers and young families by providing modern, stylish, energy efficient homes at an affordable price.
“The design of the development has been driven by a desire to produce a high quality residential environment which pays due regard to its local context, and affords a genuine prospect of evolving as an integral component of Moulton in years to come.”
The proposal is currently under consideration by the district council’s planning department with a decision due by December 10.
