Police step up patrols after another Pinchbeck building burgled overnight

A TV was stolen from a football clubhouse during the early hours of this morning (Thursday), the latest in a spate of burglaries in the village.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman the burglary took place at Pinchbeck United Football Club on Knight Street.

The spokesman said: “The premises have been broken into and a 42” TV stolen. 

“We believe the burglary happened just before 4am this morning. 

“Officers are investigating the circumstances and are appealing for information. 

Inspector Gareth Boxall said: “There have been a number of burglaries in the Pinchbeck area over the last few weeks… we’ve increased our night time patrols.

“If anyone has CCTV if anyone suspicious then please let us know and if you’re out at night and see anyone suspicious, please call us straight away.”

Two weeks ago, the nearby Pinchbeck Kids Club was burgled.

Regarding the clubhouse burglary, police said: “”If anyone witnessed anything suspicious or any vehicles around the area at the time please contact us on 101 or email [email protected] quoting incident 52 of August 29.”

Online, residents are writing in dismay at a perceived decline in the village.
