A 43-year-old woman has been banned from Spalding town centre for street drinking and anti social behaviour.
Donna Pleasance, of Wygate Road, Spalding was issued with a 14-month Criminal Behaviour Order by Boston Magistrates’ earlier this month.
She admitted a charge of threatening behaviour and the court imposed a Community Protection Notice.
This means she cannot enter Hall Place, Sheep Market and Market Place in Spalding.
“South Holland’s Neighbourhood Policing Team have worked with our partners at South Holland District Council Community Safety Team in response to public concerns around street drinking and ASB in Spalding Town Centre,” said Insp Ian Cotton.
“We seek to engage and offer a graduated approach to this to offer access to support and give people the chance to alter their behaviour. We applied for this Criminal Behaviour Order to tackle antisocial and criminal behaviour. The penalties for the breaching of this order are significant, and any breaches will be stringently enforced by the team.
“In this instance, we produced evidence to the court to show how many times our team located alcohol; our team will do this with all the street drinkers in Spalding. This is just the start of many similar orders our team will be applying for in respect of those who flout the public space protection order and law in Spalding.”
