Pinchbeck FC C confirmed runners-up spot in Division Three of the Spalding League thanks to a 6-3 win against Spalding Services.
They were 2-1 up after the pairs and then singles wins for Liam Dawson, Gary Coomes and Kenzie Foster sealed the points. Liam Dawson had a good night, hitting five scores of 100 or more and an 18-dart leg in his win over Russell Kirk. Tom Hornby and Dan Gregory were the singles winners for Services.
Pinchbeck were helped by rivals Moulton Harrox losing 7-2 in the final game of the season. Divisional champions Green Dragon B started off the stronger and went 3-0 up after the pairs and then wins for Sean Trafford, Harry Tucker, Callum Day, and Al Leighton won the game. Jordan Booth and Mark Jones both won their singles games for Harrox.
In Division Two, Pinchbeck FC A ended a fine season by beating second placed Costi E 6-3 to confirm the title. Harvey Elderkin hit a maximum 180 but lost out to Dan Gent, and Tom Elderkin hit an 18-dart leg in his win over David Bristow.
Riverside B ended a good first season in the league, beating Mulberry’s 5-4. The game came down to the last game and was between the captains, with Josh Higgins winning 2-1 against Chris Page. Daz Norton had a 104 checkout and Stu Seaton had a 100 checkout in his win over Josh Andrew.
Holbeach Services A beat their B team 8-1 with Chris O’Leary being the sole winner for the B team. Danny Goddard and Mike Ocock had an 18-dart leg in their pairs victory and Tom Fensom also had an 18-dart leg alongside five scores of 100 or more in his win.
Elsewhere Lincoln Arms B beat Riverside A 6-3, winning four of the six singles thanks to Vlad Fomkinas, Alex Ward, Andy Palmer, and John Charlton.
Ye Olde Abbey lost out 5-4 to Green Dragon A in Division One. Dragon won two of the pairs and then had singles wins for Callum Templeman, who hit an 18-dart leg and a 118 check out, Mick Holstead, who had a 17-dart leg, and Kieran Grove who in the pairs teamed up with Holstead and had an 18-dart leg. Dean Parker and Stan Browning won two games for Abbey, both scoring heavily in their wins.
In the Drayman’s Arms derby, the A team edged out their B team 5-4 thanks to Connor Newton winning the last game against Conor Hughes. Phil Newton hit six scores of 100 or more but lost to Chris Howling. Player of the night was Richard Cooper, who hit an 18-dart leg and a 150 checkout.
In another tight game, Royal Mail Cart beat Rose & Crown A 5-4. Crown were 4-3 up but wins for Jacob Herd, which included an 18-dart leg, and Paul Faulkner sealed the win for Mail Cart. Josh Ford hit a maximum 180 and beat Finlay Clayton 2-0. Adam Brand also fired in a 180 in his game, Josh Faulkner had a 17-dart leg in his victory.
Lincoln Arms A won 5-4 against Consti D. Lincoln went 2-1 up in the pairs and then wins for Luke Rhodes, including a 16-dart leg, and Simon Hill, who hit a 180, put Lincoln 4-1 up. John Robinson won his game against Karl Rolfe, including a 171, and Nick Collins won his game to make it 4-3. Tony Spinks then beat Steve Rawding 2-0 to take the win for Lincoln. Ady Smith won the last game and played well, beating Dave Bourne, and hit a 110 checkout and had a 17-dart leg.
