Pinchbeck United braced for step into the unknown against big-scoring Lutterworth

Player/boss Ian Dunn admits Pinchbeck United are stepping into the unknown against Lutterworth Town on Saturday.

The Knights welcome fellow ChromaSport UCL Division One newboys Lutterworth Town to the Sir Halley (3pm), with the visitors having smashed Stewarts and Lloyds 10-0 last weekend.

Pinchbeck are full of confidence after beating Long Buckby to bag their first-ever UCL win, but Dunn admits Lutterworth and an unknown quantity.

He said: “Winning 10-0 at any level is no mean feat.

“We just don’t know what to read into that result. They’ve obviously been promoted like us – and in my head I imagine it being a good game.

“The performance last weekend gives us confidence and we now know we belong at this level.”

Pinchbeck also host Bourne Town on Wednesday (7.45pm).
