Person rescued from car after Gedney collision

A person had to be rescued from a car after a two vehicle collision in Gedney last night (Monday).

The incident happened shortly before 7pm at Ravens Drove.

Fire crews from Holbeach, Spalding and Long Sutton attended.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: “Crews used manpower to release one casualty from car and into the care of the East Midlands Ambulance paramedics.”

A spokesman for the East Midlands Air Ambulance, said: “We received a call at 6.46pm on November 23 to Ravens Drove in Holbeach. The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision.

“We sent a LIVES community first responder and two double-crewed ambulances. One patient was discharged on scene and another patient was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital via double-crewed ambulance.”

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “The collision was between a silver Land Rover and a white Renault Clio. The driver of the Land Rover as well as the driver of the Renault Clio suffered minor injuries.”
