On a wing and a dare

A regular fundraiser reached new heights last week as she took on a wing walk.

Karen Pearson, of Spalding, was joined by friend Sharon Booth in the excursion to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Sharon’s niece Faith Robinson was diagnosed as type one diabetes aged two, with the charity conducting research to find a cure.
The pair have so far raised over £1,600.
“We both normally stay flat on the floor doing half and full marathons,” said Karen, who works at Vine House Farm. “This time we decided to go for an adrenaline rush instead.
“Weirdly I have a fear of sitting on the top deck of double decker buses, but neither of us was nervous.
“It was an amazing experience.
“The views were incredible and the weather was on our side.
“A huge thank you goes to everyone who supports our fundraising and crazy challenges. We couldn’t do it without you.”
