The first round of fixtures in the Crowson Volkswagen-sponsored Pinchbeck & District Winter Darts League delivered an exciting evening of action, with tight finishes, high checkouts and impressive individual performances.
In Division A, Services Club B edged out Drayman’s Arms 5-4 in a tense encounter, with Dave Norbury sealing a 100 checkout to help his side over the line in a last game 2-0 win against Kieran Twitchen.
Lincoln Arms A hosted Green Dragon A in a high-quality clash that saw the visitors claim a 6–3 victory. Scott Williams was in outstanding form, hitting a 126 checkout and recording 18 and 14 dart legs in his 2-0 win over Dean Murray. He also teamed up with Chris Newman for a 15-dart leg in their pairs game.
Lincoln’s Simon Hill responded with a 180 in his 2-1 win over Shayne Hubbard, while Steve Stancer added a 17 dart leg to the home side’s tally, beating Andy Porter 2-0.
Lincoln Arms D also enjoyed a 5-4 win over Consti Club B. Despite the loss, Consti’s Conor Hughes fired in a 180 and Adam Robinson checked out on 100.
Another close contest saw Consti Club C edge out Pinchbeck FC B 5-4. Jacob Herd and Josh Faulkner both hit 180s for the Consti, while Connor Mackenzie produced a 16 dart leg and John Gilman impressed with a 15 dart leg for the football club. Paul Faulkner won the last game 2-1 against John MacKenzie to secure the win.
In Division B, Services Club A were in ruthless form, sweeping aside Pied Calf 8-1. Mark Foster got the sole point for Calf.
Kirton Leisure started their campaign with a 7-2 win over Green Dragon C, while Lincoln Arms C matched that scoreline in their victory over Consti Club A.
Consti Club D overcame Pinchbeck FC C 6-3, and Green Dragon Z edged out Consti Club Z. After trailing 4-2, wins for Toby Lyons, Harry Tucker and Dean Peacock in the last three singles gave the Dragon a 5-4 win.
