New minister at baptist church

Sutton St James has a present just in time for Christmas – a new minister.

Debbie Clarke has taken on the role having recently been inducted by East Midlands Baptist Association minister Nick Ashton in a service attended by more than 100 people.

Debbie said: “The village is a wonderful, welcoming place and it’s a privilege to be here.

“All are welcome, particularly over Christmas.

“On the 21st we have a modern family-style service at 10.45am and on Christmas Eve, a traditional carol service by glow-light at 4pm.

“It will be a beautiful way to celebrate the Christmas season.

“Come and join us – all are welcome.”
