If collectables are your thing, there’s a new shop in Spalding that’s well worth a look.

Brian Green has opened the Green Apple Collectables Emporium in Albert Street and with 850 items to browse you’re bound to find something that takes your fancy.
Brian (62) is Spalding born and bred and has been building up his selection of collectables and curios since he was 14.
He said: “I used to get my paper round money and go down to the local antiques shop and buy coins and other interesting things.
“I’ve had many years of pleasure from my collection but now I’m 62 it’s time to think about passing the items on to others.”
Brian has a dedicated section of the shop for Spalding memorabilia.
He added: “I have set up a special area with books, postcards, picture boards, anything depicting Spalding, really.”
The shop is a real Aladdin’s cave and is a complete career change for Brian who has spent most of his working life in engineering.

  •  Green Apple Emporium is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-4.30pm, and by appointment after 4.30pm. The shop is closed on Mondays. To contact Brian, call 07947 153226.
