Spalding’s Gentlemen’s Society is linking up with Ayscoughfee Hall for a new exhibition.
Collections Reimagined aims to bring both the institutions collections together for a new look at them and the history surrounding the objects.
It opens at Ayscoughfee Hall on Saturday, October 21 at 12pm.
A spokesman said: “‘Collections Reimagined’ adopts a fresh perspective on the Society’s holdings.
“It brings together museum, library and archive collections to offer new ways of engaging with museum collections.
“Highlights include rare pottery from antiquity to the modern day, an experimental ‘cabinet of curiosities’, and themed displays on railroads, crime and punishment, archives, and more.
“The exhibit marks the start of a more active partnership between the society and Ayscoughfee, with additional displays and programmes planned for the coming months and years.”
Admission to ‘Collections Reimagined’ is free to all visitors during normal Ayscoughfee Hall opening hours, currently Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday 10:30-4:30.
