Moulton still in the hunt for second place

Moulton Harrox Cricket Club beat Deeping by seven wickets to ensure they could still finish second in the South Lincs and Border League Championship.
Opener Matthew Rose enjoyed Moulton winning the toss and bowling, taking 4 for 33 early on backed by Harry Lovell (1 for 15) and Anish Suwarneraj (1 for 16) also struck as Deeping’s top six were ousted for single figure scores.
The recovery came courtesy of David Gillett (62) and Hayder Ali (26) before Chris Beale (2 for 9) and Jamie Kitchen (2 for 27) rounded off the innings in the 39th over with Deeping on 162.
Kitchen scored 33 and Ruari Drumm a match-winning 34 not out as Moulton lost wickets regularly but eventually sealed a three wicket win in the 32nd over.
Harrox are at Sleaford this weekend and could pip Newborough to second place with a victory and healthy dose of bowling points.
