June will be an extra special month at Moulton Mill as it celebrates its 200th anniversary with four days of festivities around the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The whole of the village is set to get involved in the events from Thursday, June 2.
In the evening there will be a lantern parade around the village from the green to coincide with the national lighting of beacons and ringing of bells around the country.
The following day (Friday) there will be entertainment in and around the community centre and mill.
The Saturday will see a special ‘Moulton Trooping the Colour’ event which will include a village parade.
Prince and Princess will be crowned and attendants with vintage tractors etc. Also a village show with stalls, activities, competitions and games in the day and then a large TV screen to watch the “Platinum Party at the Palace” from London.
The Big Jubilee Lunch will take place on Sunday, June 5 and the village will be hosting a street party to be followed by Moulton’s Got Talent at night.
