Moulton Harrox Reserves smash rivals Long Sutton for eight in cup derby

A gr-eight showing from Moulton Harrox Reserves was the highlight on a rain-hit Saturday of action in the ChromaSport Peterborough League.

With a host of matches postponed (see story here), Harrox’s second string stole the headlines with an 8-0 Chairman Championship Shield success at South Holland rivals Long Sutton Athletic.

Declan Earth starred with a hat-trick at London Road, while Guy Mantle (2), Jake Cawthorne and subs Dan Lambe-Hyner and Tom Panton rounded off the rout in the all-Division One affair.

In the biggest other game to beat the weather, Premier Division strugglers Crowland Town went down 5-2 at Ketton.

Down in Division Two, a hat-trick from Tony Edwards and a goal from first team boss Ian Dunn helped Pinchbeck United Reserves to a 4-4 draw at nine-man Glinton and Northborough.

In the same division, Crowland Town Reserves went down 2-0 at home to Netherton United A, while down in Division Four Sutton Bridge United Reserves were 3-1 home winners over Netherton United B.
