Doctor Who’s enemies are invading The Collection as part of Lincoln Inspired.

Doctor Who’s most iconic enemies are joining forces to invade The Collection museum in Lincoln as part of a week-long celebration of the city’s cultural scene.

Eight aliens and a special star guest from the cult TV show are making an appearance in the Monsters at the Collection event on Saturday during the Lincoln Inspired Festival, which runs until Sunday.

The Dalek, Cyberman, Judoon, Ood, Pig Slave, Hath and Cybershade will be joined in the museum by series actor Dan Starkey.

Mr Starkey, who plays Sontaran Commander Strax, loyal ally to the Doctor and one of the show’s most-loved characters, will be taking part in a question-and-answer session at 1pm, followed by autograph signing and photos.

“The event will give fans a chance to get up close and personal with some of their favourite Doctor Who creatures and costumes, meet one of the show’s most popular characters, see the Time Lord’s TARDIS and even create their own monster”, says museum site co-ordinator Paul Mason.

Also included in the event are showings of the fan-made Doctor Who Musical Video Festival, and the opportunity to design a new monster.

The Monsters at The Collection event runs from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and is organised by the museum and Ritz Cinema.

Admission is free, with a £5 charge for the Q&A session with Dan Starkey and separate fees for his photo and autograph.

The Q&A session is limited to 100 places and booking is strongly advised.

People can book by contacting The Collection on 01522 782040 or at the museum’s reception desk.
