Maton and Walker crowned at Tydd

A 31-point haul from Jackie Maton and Lin Walker earned them the Coronation Foursomes title at Tydd St Giles Golf Club.
Victory in the event, for players with handicaps of 40 and less, makes them eligible to play in the area final at Lincoln Golf Club, with the grand final due to be held at St Andrews in September.
Maria Taylor-Vassall and Petra Meir were second, three points behind.

p Gedney Hill Golf Club entered two teams in the Kyocera Club Classic Knockout (formerly known as the Annocata Matchplay).
The captain’s team was knocked out 3½-1½ at Stoke Rochford, with four matches going to the 18th hole.
However, the vice-captain’s team beat Milton GC at Gedney Hill 4½-½ to move into the next round.
