A man found with suspected stab wounds in Pinchbeck was taken to hospital yesterday (Sunday, May 3).
Two men have been arrested following the incident after police received a report of an injured man in the Brownlow Crescent area shortly after 11am.
Lincolnshire Police say they believe this was an isolated incident and that the man’s injuries were not through to be life-threatening though the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance was called to take him to Peterborough City Hospital.
A police spokesman said: “A 27-year-old man has been taken to hospital with an injury consistent with a stab wound.
“His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“Two men, aged 45 and 52, have been arrested in connection with this and released on bail.
“Just after 11am on Sunday 3 May we received a report of the injured man in the Brownlow Crescent area of Pinchbeck.
“We believe this was an isolated incident but investigations are ongoing.
“If anyone can assist with our investigation they can call us on 101, quoting incident 110 of May 3.”
A spokesperson at the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance said: “On Sunday, May 3, the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance was dispatched to a medical emergency in Pinchbeck shortly after 11am.
“Our Air Ambulance arrived on scene in just 18 minutes, a journey that by land could have taken over an hour. Our crew treated the patient using advanced clinical interventions before escorting them to Peterborough City Hospital, by land.
“The life-saving work of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is only possible thanks to the generosity of local people who continue to support our Charity.
“As we monitor developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to providing a pre-hospital critical care response.”
