Holbeach firm among key workers showing appreciation for Pilgrim Hospital staff

A Holbeach firm were among 55 vehicles of other key workers who drove around Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital last night (Thursday) to thank the NHS.

Holbeach Tyres were among those that drove around the hospital at 8pm last night as part of the weekly clap for the NHS acknowledgement.

At the same time, around the hospital itself, a number of emergency services helped in a ‘blue light salute’ to staff nurse Anujkumar Kuttikkottu Pavithran, known as Kumar, who passed away after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.

Two Holbeach Tyres vans were among the convoy as was the company’s Sam Crane.

“It was really nice to see people clapping and showing their appreciation for NHS staff,” he said. “There were too many to park in the car park so all the vehicles just drove round the hospital.

“We had some of the emergency vehicles join us in that too which was great.

“It was great to be a part of.”
