The last two unbeaten teams in Division A of the Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck & District Winter League met and it was Lincoln Arms A who took the spoils with an emphatic 8-1 home win against Services Club B.
In a game that saw 44 100-plus scores, including five 180s, it was missed doubles that were Services’ downfall.
For Lincoln, Paul Blow hit two 180s and a 113 finish with 17 and 18-dart legs. Jimmy Tenno hit a 180 and had 14 and 18-dart legs and Steve Stancer hit a 180. Dave Norbury had a 180 for the Services and Tony Clark was the sole winner for them in the last game, beating John Charlton 2-0 to avoid a whitewash.
Consti Club C remain in the hunt for a top-two place after a 6-3 home win over Royal Mail Cart. It could have been a bigger margin but for Stef Atudosiei and Leon Carter winning the last two games for Mail Cart. Jacob Herd hit a 180 for Consti.
Consti B also had a 6-3 home win, against Drayman’s Arms B. There was a 116 checkout for Drayman Kev Newton and a 109 finish for Consti’s Chris Howling.
Division B leaders Consti Club Z had a comfortable 7-2 home win against Pinchbeck FC B.
Green Dragon Z are only a point behind thanks to a 7-2 home win against Lincoln Arms C.
Consti Club D came out 5-4 winners at Green Dragon C. Jamie Robson had a 120 checkout for Dragon.
Kirton Leisure won 6-3 at Drayman’s Arms A, with Josh Smith making a 113 finish for an 18-dart leg for Leisure.
In the preliminary round of the H&H Cup, Green Dragon Z and Drayman’s Arms A made it past Pinchbeck B and Services Club A respectively.
