Lincoln Arms A moved another step closer to the Division A title in the Crowson Volkswagen Pinchbeck & District Winter League with a hard-fought 5-4 win at Consti Club C.
The match went down to the final two singles, where Simon Hill and Steve Gaughan sealed victory.
Dean Murray produced a 17-dart leg in his 2-1 win over Jacob Herd.
Royal Mail Cart stayed in the chase with a 6-3 home win against bottom side Drayman’s Arms. Jason Vines and Chris Fidler both hit 15-dart legs, with Fidler also checking out on 116. Daz Gedney added an 18-dart leg and a 119 finish for the Mail Cart.
Pinchbeck FC B remain third following a 6-3 home win over Lincoln Arms D. There was a 100 checkout from Harvey Elderkin.
Consti Club B let a 4-1 lead slip as Black Bull stormed back to win 5-4, with Rick Goodman, Pete Grooby, Shaun Baxter and Mark Graham taking the final four singles. Conor Hughes hit a 124 finish for the Consti.
Services Club B edged a close contest 5-4 at Green Dragon A. Jonny Pell secured the win in the last game, beating Jon Goor 2-0. Dave Norbury starred for the Services with a 180 and 120 checkout giving him a 15-dart leg.
In Division B, leaders Kirton Leisure kept their advantage intact with a 6-3 home win over Consti Club D. Finn Andrew and Ashley Brown won the final singles to wrap up the match, while Dean Drage hit a 180 for the visitors.
Consti Club Z stayed second with an impressive 7-2 home win over Consti Club A, for whom Jamie Mumby was the only singles winner.
Pinchbeck FC C claimed a 5-4 win at Lincoln Arms C thanks to singles victories from Jay Vernalls and Alan Austen. Josh Burton hit a 180 in his 2-1 win over Nigel Goodwin.
The surprise of the week came as bottom side Green Dragon C earned a 6-3 win at Services Club A.
Singles wins from Jamie Robson, Trent Hutson, Tom Overton and Adam Rear secured the unexpected result.
