Life saving equipment at town shop

Potentially life-saving equipment has been installed at a Spalding shop.

A defibrillator has been attached to the outside wall of Premier Stores in Pennygate, meaning it is available to the public any time of the day or night.

Shop owner Sam Kandola said: “The ambulance service approached us and asked if we could have the defibrillator and we were happy to help.

“It’s a critical piece of equipment.

“Hopefully no-one will need it but if it saves just one life it will be worth having it.

“We’re hoping to get one at our other shop at Little London in the future too.”
