LETTERS – Why oh why wheelie bins?

Why oh why do we have to have wheelie bins forced upon us in South Holland?

Ever since I’ve been in Spalding we’ve always had green and black bags. Easier to store, cheaper for the council to provide (or are we going to be charged for them like the brown bins), less unsightly, easier to put out for collection for elderly people and the bags are collected every week.

What is the point of having longer parking periods when there are very few decent shops or facilities for people to enjoy when they get here?

First give people something worth coming to the town centre for then alter the parking times.
