LETTERS – Why not local any more?

Why is it now no matter which vets you use in Spalding if you need your vet over a holiday or out of hours, you now have to ring Peterborough?

If you need to take you pet over it’s a £179 call-out fee, plus you pay for the vet to look at you pet, plus any meds they might need.

What does a little old lady who does not drive but needs a vet after hours do? Most don’t have that kind of money. It is wrong.

I remember when vets were not all about the money. Back then even if it was a one vet practice you could always get in touch.
