It seems Spalding was a lottery winner when it came to who could have the most road closures at any one time!
It is beyond ridiculous that we have to be subjected to so many road closures all at the same time.
Clearly no one in the council has the brain power to realise this.
Pinchbeck has run over time, well that’s probably because the workers are usually on their phones, not around at all, finish work early, don’t work weekends.
If you are behind, and it is light until late, surely you catch up hours so you can finish on time. Have penalties been imposed?
So easy for councillors to sit in their office, oblivious of what’s going on in the real world.
Do any of them actually live in any of these affected areas?
Park Road is closed more days than it is open.
Now some complete idiot has announced that Woolram Wygate will be completely closed for road works.
This idiot has failed to take into account that the houses along those estates only have two access roads in and out of the area.
So all traffic will have to use the Bourne /Winsover entrance, thus putting extreme strain on traffic, not to mention the extra time to get to our destinations, and most of all, the extra cost of fuel incurred having to tour the town to get to school work etc.
Heaven forbid we should have any medical emergencies etc.
Is the council going to reimburse us for the extra fuel cost as it affects household budgets?
I think we should all keep our fuel receipts and submit to council for reimbursement.
