LETTERS – What are the police doing?

I am writing to ask the police what they are doing?
I recently had my bike stolen and a friend of mine had his tools from his van stolen, we both rang the police as is expected, to then be told that no further action would be taken.
There was evidence left at the scene from both incidents yet still they are not interested.
How are we supposed to trust the police force, when they show little interest In the incidents that affect us?
