The Ukulele Orchestra of Spalding has resumed normal service after a short break and is entertaining audiences throughout the area again.
Fundraising for local charities is a central ethos for us and we fulfilled that when partnering Pavanotti (Jeff Woods) in his Pav & Friends concert a couple of Saturdays ago where we raised over £500.
It was wonderful to share the stage with Jeff, Cormac O’Hara and Oksana Ponaida and as usual people were so generous.
The three charities to benefit are Boxes of Hope, Citizens Advice and Thistles Market Garden which gives work experience to adults with particular needs and it was lovely to have Elliot O’Hara representing them at the concert.
Another aim of the Ukulele Orchestra is to have fun and anyone seeing us perform will have experienced that.
We also encourage new members and a warm reception awaits anyone who’d like to come to rehearsals on Thursday evening from 7pm at the Broad St Methodist Church in Spalding whether you’re an absolute beginner or a ukulele genius.
