LETTERS – Tydd Gote potholes forgotten

Station Road, Tydd Gote is suffering from a quite bad pothole and general maintenance issue.

Lincolnshire County Highways has been contacted by different members of the public via their online reporting some dating back to December and March 2019.

They also state on some of the reports that the work has been completed but it has not actually been done.

The pavement outside the Post Office has been poorly repaired and the postmistress has become really fed up that Lincolnshire County Council doesn’t respond to any enquiries.

It is as if Tydd Gote is not considered worthy of their attention being at the furthest limits of their jurisdiction.

I took a selection of photos recently just to show how bad it is and have logged them yet again on the reporting website.

I think they really need some press scrutiny as both not doing the work and telling lies about it being done is not very satisfactory.

I drive this road four or five times a week and you have to dodge the potholes by swerving onto the opposite side of the road, not ideal if there is oncoming traffic speeding through the 30 limit either.
