LETTERS – Tip instructions are too involved

Having read the article ‘Tip to re-open’ dated May 6, I’m compelled to say I think this is a big mistake and will only add to the existing fly tipping!

The instructions in order to tip something is far too involved – people will not bother.

Firstly, how can you know in advance when you will need to go or if the time slot given is convenient for you.

Secondly, gardeners, etc, go generally ad hoc and only when they need to.

Thirdly, not everyone has a computer to book this trip in.

Four, not everyone has a printer to download email confirmation to take with them.

Five, why do you now need ID and address and confirmation of date and slot time?

Six, how are the elderly supposed to deal with their rubbish into these big cages without the help of the workers?

I get the need for social distancing, but this scheme will be unworkable and less recycling.
