There is something else – a recent guest on Cambridge Radio was the eminent archaeologist who discovered Flag Fen.
This is a man who has spent a lifetime studying the Fens, their pre-history and evolution to the present day and into the future.
This is what he had to say: “The building of huge estates around Holbeach is a disaster. One day and I cannot predict precisely when, there is going to be another North Sea surge. When that happens, these estates will be under water.”
